From the rolling hills of the countryside to the serene coastlines, every painting invites you on a journey through places you can feel and colours that speak with volume.

From the heart of Lincolnshire to the rugged edges of Skye, my work is alive with the bold strokes and vibrant hues of the British landscape. My journey began in the mid-'80s at Lincoln Art College, took a creative turn in Cornwall's ceramist scene where I earned the honour of a Licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, and now, following years in Industry, I stand as a proud member of the Lincolnshire Artists Society (LAS).

Each piece I create is not just art; it's a piece of my happy heart, echoing my love for the natural world.

Art for me is about reinvigoration, about finding new dimensions in the familiar. It's the culmination of years of nurturing creativity while making my mark in the industry, coupled with the fresh perspectives gained from many areas of inspiration and field trips across the diverse British landscape.

My pieces are bold, vibrant, and expressive, drawing inspiration from the feelings and the intricate textures of the world around us. My works are a celebration of colour, texture and passion — there's joy in the grand gestures, in the big, sweeping landscapes and the abstracted elements brought to life with oil and cold wax and other mixed media where every layer is a story and every texture a hidden treasure.

and I revel in that recognition.

My art is an unbridled, usually abstracted, expression, whether it's through the felted contours of my 3D vessels, the silks, velvets and fabrics that capture the colour that brings joy, or the gestural power of landscapes captured 'en plein air.'

“What a breath of fresh air”

they say.

“That’s bright!”
